Oral cancer

Oral cancer is the most common cancer in India and also most deaths occur due to oral cancer. The main reason behind these deaths are detection of cancer in advanced stages.

Causes:

Tobacco consumption in any form like chewing & smoking. Alcohol, poor dental hygiene, HPV Virus, sharp tooth, ill fitting dentures causing trauma.

Signs and Symptoms:

Non healing ulcer, White or red patch inside mouth, Any growth in mouth that bleeds on touch, Difficulty in speaking & eating, Neck swelling, Skin ulcer Or swelling over face, Throat pain.

Treatment:

Surgery is the main Treatment for oral cancer Radiation therapy after surgery, alone or along with chemotherapy is required in advanced stages.
